A relaxed yet focused class, specially developed by busylizzy for post-natal mums wanting to get back into pre-pregnancy shape. Our innovative approach takes traditional Pilates principles such as stretching, strengthening and realigning the body and tailors them for new mummies, so expect to work those stubborn areas affected by pregnancy and labour, and tone those pesky pelvic floor and abdominals!

Overview

This class is aimed at new mummies, so expect to work those stubborn areas affected by pregnancy and labour. It’s also a great way to meet like-minded new mummy friends. As with all Mummy & Me classes, babies (non walkers) are safely placed on mats or in playpens with soft toys while you enjoy your workout. Lots of time is set aside for feeding, changing and entertaining the little ones.

Before participating in this class, please complete our ParQ Medical form so our instructors can adapt your work out around any illness or injuries.

Anything that they can move freely in. For example, shorts and t-shirt, track suit or similar loose clothing. Layers are ideal to strip off and warm up again during the stretch session.

Before you start any postnatal fitness session you must have been signed off by your G.P or health visitor as fit at your 4/6 week postnatal check. Thereafter our pilates classes are suitable for you to enjoy until your baby is crawling/cruising freely. The babies spend time with you in this class and we involve them as much as possible. The beautiful studios we use have plenty of pilates mats, bolsters & blankets for little ones to lie on during the class.

We do things differently at Busylizzy! Our membership packages offers you a wide variety of classes to choose from, without the termly commitments that most other classes require.

As a member you can pick and choose whatever sessions you feel like from our timetable of weekday classes, plus have the opportunity to come along to our expert talks, events and coffee mornings.

Babies are welcome at all our mummy&me classes with special baby duvets laid out for them to lay on while the parent exercises meaning no extra child-care costs.

Members can book classes on the day (up to 30 minutes before the start of a class) or up to 4 weeks in advance using our smartphone app! If you can’t make it – no problem – you can cancel and reschedule your classes up until 2 hrs before they start. No more paying for classes when you are on holiday, the kids are sick or you just cannot make it!

As a Busylizzy member you and your family can attend ANY combination of our mummy fitness, baby and active tot classes to suit your diary each month.  If you want to come along to a few weeks of one particular class then that’s fine, or you can pick‘n’mix your classes dependent on your mood. It’s totally up to you! As parents ourselves we also understand the need for flexibility, so Busylizzy gives you the ability to cancel and reschedule your classes up until 2 hrs before they start.
